Los Angeles Pediatric Society
Continuing Medical Education (CME)

The purposes of the overall CME program is to provide clinically useful information which also incorporates cutting-edge advances on a variety of issues of special interest to both practicing and research oriented pediatricians. Content areas include infectious disease, endocrinology, dermatology, allergy and immunology, nephrology, behavioral and developmental issues, genetics, neurology, cardiology, hematology, toxicology, public health, gastroenterology, general pediatrics and appropriate surgical and surgical subspecialty interests. Our target audiences are primarily pediatricians although family practitioners and allied medical personnel are often in attendance. Nationally recognized authorities present formal lectures as well as extended workshops which address specific issues in depth. Question and answer sessions allow attendees to pose specific queries to the speaking faculty. We would expect attendees to acquire information that will enable them to improve the management of specific problems by applying specific recommendations as well as stimulating interest in potential new developments. The Los Angeles Pediatric Society is firmly committed to its CME programs by providing financial support and the involvement of the CME committee in selecting both topics and appropriate speakers.
